Domain verification was not mandatory until this year but became mandatory with the 2021 update. Facebook Domain verification ensures your security. You prove to Facebook that your website belongs to you.
If you want to use the Instagram Shopping feature, you need to verify the Facebook domain.
Facebook domain verification is also mandatory to collect data on iOS14 users. You now need to add your events to the Bulk Event Metering for iOS14 users. For this, you need to perform domain verification.
So, How to Verify Facebook Domain?
- Open your Business Manager page, select Brand Security from the Business Settings section, and click Domains.

- You enter the domain name of your website on the screen above.

- When adding your domain name, make sure that there are no “http”, “https” and “www”. Refresh the page after adding your domain name.

- You will see a screen like the one above. You can do domain verification in 3 ways.
- DNS Verification; You must follow the instructions in the image above. You can verify by adding DNS TXT to the server where your domain name is located.
- HTML File Upload; You can verify by uploading an html file to the root folder of your website.
- Meta-tag Verification; You can do this by adding the meta tag given to you between the codes on the homepage of your website.
As a result of these actions, you will have completed the Facebook domain verification.
